There are quite a few threads scattered over the pages in this forum that discuss the insurance topic. Just keep browsing back through the pages to find them. You could use the 'Search' function to find some of them, but keep in mind that it only searches back 90 days so it may miss some of the older threads.
Insurance for your 82. Hagerty's. www.hagerty.com Quick and easy, online application. Very professional on phone. They specialize in collector cars, have great programs.
The premiums are the best I have found.

I am with State Farm and they have stated value/replacement cost insurance for.
It only costs me $221.00 per year.
The cost may also depend on how you register the vehicle. Antique, Classic, Historic etc.. The local DMV will tell u what qualifies for what category.

I found the best price for my '79, through Aon Collector Car.

That is most interesting. I've insured all our vehicles with Met Life for years and when I added "The Toy" there was no mention of C&S. Makes me wonder how complete my coverage has been for the past three years.

I just spoke with a C&S representative and while the rate is very reasonable they do have a 2,500 mile limit on their policy. They would extend the mileage for a given year on a per case basis, but you first have to be covered by them for a couple of years before being eligible for that excemption. I don't think I could handle that low a mileage limitation, when the sun is shining I want to be driving...!!!
