Is there a way to find out what an insurance company would pay out for a Vette under a normal policy (i.e., something like a blue book for older cars that's standard among insurance companies)?

Yes I do have restrictions with American Collectors Ins. but who cares.

1.)  I would never leave my Vette outside a locked garage. (Required Storage)
2.)  Living in Washington State I don't think I'd ever put 5k miles on it in a year.
3.)  Drive it to work, not where I work.  And the one time a year I do, whos watching.

For $190 a year I'll put up with that.

I had 6 cars insured with American Collectors before I sold my 68 Chevelle
so now only have 5... Including my 98 Convertible which does not meet their standards as top its age BUT they gave me a waver ...LOL

I have had one accident and American Collectors handled the thing exactly the way I wanted them to..no hassles with me or the repair shop no problems on ordering OEM parts instead of aftermarket parts, etc.. The only problem I had honestly was for American Collectors to get an adjuster to see the car (3 days) ...They do not use regular adjusters they use "car Guys" ...heck my adjuster was a "Mopar Man"... bottom line is the adjusters KNOW what I, a Collector car owner, am concerned about...

Just from that one accident I will never shop around for another company
unless my Rates quadrupled...currently under $1000 total for all 5 Corvettes..

Hagerty turned me off 10 years ago by the way they  defined Pleasure driving... a Nice Sunday drive to visit my Dad 60 miles from my home according to them was NOT an acceptable use of the car and therefore would not be covered...  BULL !   I do not own any trailer queens my cars are driven and truthfully all the miles I put on them is for my own  pleasure
