Whats the best auto insurance for classic cars?
I tried Geico and they farmed me out to a third party.
I'd like a real company that doesnt want an arm and a leg.
Thanks
Bob

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I have Safco for all of my cars, rentals and home now. It is sold through independent Insurance agents.
They have a Classic car policy where you declare the value and driving terms they set the price based on that.
I used to have different insurance but have slowly gone to Safco for everything. I have never had an issue with a claim and I like the idea of an independent Insurance man handling my business.
I may be a number to the company but I'm a real person to my agent.
I have had Safco for my cars for over 30 years and have had people run into me and run into others ones never had an issue.

I have http://www.hagerty.com for my classic cars. Make sure they fit your needs (i.e. low mileage driving; garaged; etc.)
I use JC Taylor (800 345 8290). I only pay about $125 for the C3, valued at 15.5K.
I had to make a claim once for another car, dropped an alternator belt and had to get the RX-7 towed 20 miles. They paid for 100% of the bill and surely lost money on me that yr.
I have JC Taylor also. Very easy to work with.

I use State Farm for all of my cars.
There is no substitute for low end torque!
I have state farm for my cars also. But have thought about jc Taylor or hagerty for my collectors kinda feel state farm might not like to pay out on the vette and such as they be worth.

I have State farrm home insurance, and last year a tree fell on my storage shed (14 x 16). I had a lot of my Vette and other car parts inside and since I own the cars that these parts go to, they wouldnt give me a dime for them. About $7000 worth of parts down the drain. So I wont be giving any extra of my $ to State Farm.
Thanks for all the have responded, I'm leaning towards JC Taylor, good rate and easy to get a quote.
