Hi Linda and welcome to the BEST forum around. Everyone here is very nice and they are all full of info on C3's. I've got an 82 CE and I go to alot of shows. I know that 82's had 2 different blues... a dark blue and a bright blue. I agree with the other posts here, contact the previous owner and/or the paint shop that did the work. They should've made a note of the color. Other than that, try to find stock blue 82's to compare the color. Go to as many shows as you can, the bigger the better too! I don't think that I've ever seen a stock blue 82 around here. Have fun with your "new" C3!

Welcome aboard Linda!
I don't have an answer to your question. But there is a guy in my area that has a '82 that is a unique looking blue. If I see him around soon(which is very rare.) I'll see if he can tell me what the color is called. He did buy the car brand new, so I'm sure he would have some info. No promises, but I'll try.
