This dude may have had second thoughts about selling his car and used the wife excuse. It's not easy to give up on dreams. There are plenty more stringrays out there in the sea.

Well, after all this, the guy decided to sell me the car. Whatever. I'll never know exactly what was going on. But hey, I got the car! Nice '68 true survivor with original paint. Ya just never know I guess. I hung in there and he said, "Well, I'm a man of my word. It's yours." I'm guessing he got some higher offers after accepting mine and was thinking about going for the extra dough.
