That's exactly what I do. I leave the Firestones on the rally rims, in the garage, and the alloy rims on the car for driving. If I go to an NCRS event, I'll swap them at the event, or I trailer the car.
I'm skeerd mine are gonna blow just driving on-off the trailer!!

Yep. That's why I mentioned it. Good article in Corvette Enthusiast Magazine about not driving on 30 year old tires regardless of their exterior appearance. Show and judging are fine; highway speeds are not.
