Well I did it..I am finally done with the trying to make Yogi run better! I have played with the carb..timing and idle mixture and float setting.. replaced a ton of little parts that were worn out ...best one is the throttle only opened HALF way! It was driving me nuts that the car just didn't go like it should ..so while I was playing with the carb again tonight it came to me to check how far the throttle actually opened with the pedal..so I coaxed the wife to get off the computed for a minute and mash the pedal to the floor..so a simple adjustment later now I get all the butterfly to open..all four..I buttoned everything up and went for a ride..HOLY cow does Yogi peal it out now..best thing is that it ran perfect! I just can't wait for that clutch and exhaust..so now that is done any suggestions on which clutch..don't care about hard to push pedal..I need something that will take hard chirping shifts..Yippeeee!

The stock clutch for a vette is very respectable and should leave you little to desire unless your a full time racer. Any slight upgrade that you find in Jegs or Summit (like centerforce) should be more than enough. I'm speaking from hearsay not personal experience. let us know how it goes.

It sounds like we have the same car!!!  I am one of those people who take things to extremes..I am somewhat frustrated because I can't do anything to this car!!  It's all original.  So the only thing I can change and no one would know is the clutch..I have even been looking at the Fidanza aluminum flywheels!  I have used them on many cars over the years and love them..I have always been a speed nut and now since I got this thing going I allready need more!  It' only been a couple of days!!!  The flywheel will give me some but the clutch will let me exploit it!!  Yeehaw Yogi!!!

Rich, I put in a RAM 11 inch with a resurfaced flywheel. Ram will  gurantee them if proper documentation is provided for resurfaceing. Seems to work well, minimal cluch pressure for leg in traffic.  Mark     You are welcomed to check it out at Pauls!

Hey Mark..which one did you use..I have found many Ram versions out there that fit..from stock to a step up..also the beck style pressure plate? I only want to do this once this year!
See you Saturday.
