well after starting to install a couple things on the 75, that
ballooned into a new radiator and electric fans, a set of powder
chromed headers, new plugs and wires, new exhaust hangers and a few
other doodads, it finally got started up today.
i had installed a chrome ministarter and went to start it and it just spun and selenoid didn't engage--
.
with the headers i installed the starter i took out was a real PITA to
install but put it back in and crossed the fingers and turned the key.
a couple of seconds of cranking and it was running.
had to change the rubber fuel lines from the pump to the metal lines on the frame as well. didn't see any fuel leaks or water leaking from any of the hoses either (upper and lower and new heater hoses). tomorrow i will top off radiator and recheck all connections.
now to make it a perfect weekend, it would be great if i could get that blasted 90 running again. this one seems to be one step forwards and two steps back. it appears thru all of the crap with this, the fuel pump went.
but at least i got my 75 back

Congradulations David. It's nice to have the time to work on the vettes, and the money for parts doesn't hurt either
. I could spend my vacation that way and I'd be
.

stock piled a lot of the parts so the money wasn't put out all at once
and figured while i was doing some stuff i would install the stuff i
had. didn't realize how much stuff it was. wife is usually pretty good
about letting me play with my toys. after 30 yrs i know how far i could
push it and try not to. that's another reason it took so long. i, too ,
wish i could spend all my free time on the cars but do try and get as
much as i can.
