I plan to jack my car up using a floor jack and then set it on jack stands.  Where should I put the jack and then where do the stands need to go?  I know improperly jacking up the car could cause body twist and damage.

Bob,

I put the front jack stands in the lower A-Arm pockets & the rear stands under the lower strut rods where they were bolted to the rear spindles.

I had my car up on jackstands for that way for a year & it was rock solid.

When the A-Arms were off I put the stands under the frame where it turned inward, just behing the front wheel wells.  I was not as comfortable with that but it held, even when wh had to kick the front springs into position.

Good luck,

Anthony

Hmmmm...I think I've seen that somewhere before...I wonder where it was? Looks amazingly enough like something I did!
