Just Bought It ! 1972 Steel Cities

Just wanted to send a shot of my "new" 1972.  Just bought it and am starting a street resto.  It's a driver, #'s are right, Steel Cities Gray, Black Leather Deluxe Interior, base 350, 4-spd, AC, PS, PB, Stereo.  Runs great and gets about 20 mpg @ 70 mph with a 3.36 rear end.
 
Working on my Corvettes helps me with technical writing for Mid Aemrica Motorwork's catalogs and websites.

awesome, good for you...I picked up the same car (from Illinois!) about 2 weeks ago.....its a convertible though....the best one I've owned to date and a keep to be sure....arent they great colors ?

Sweet ride, I wish I new how to get that kid of mileage with my car. I am lucky to get 17 with the 3.55 gear and the OD trans.

That is a great looking '72 you have there. Last of the chrome bumpers and a very good color choice. There were a lot of Steel Cities Gray out of the plant (2,346) but you just don't see very many on the road or at shows. That would be my choice of color for that year.

Thanks for all the great comments!  The Mid America Motorworks Team and I are always ready to help fellow fiberglass fanatics.
 
We don't know everything, but we may have experienced a similar situation and be able to save someone some "knuckle-skin" !!!
