Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I didn't realize how bad the old switch was, til I put in the new one. The old one was really hard to turn, and had several spots where it would be stiff to turn. It was like that from the first time I ever drove it. I gave it a shot of WD-40 every once in a while, but it didn't really help. I have heard that you aren't supposed to oil locks, but I always have, without any problems. This new one really works smooth. It was really a pain in the arse to change though.

I really lucked out on it. It broke down in my garage... |smile|
