Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

Key Codes? Not sure of your query,  but maybe a good vehicle locksmith could read your ignition switch and get the tumbler reading. A master key type of sorts. Just guessing. But, I have a complete column for a 76 in brown with keys, in case it's of any consolation to you.

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day. 2023 Accelerate Yellow HTC Stingray

You could also get a new ignition with a new set of keys. It's relevant relatively easy to change out. You just need a steering wheel puller and a lock ring removal tool which are both readily available.

73shark probably has the best solution.  Trying to get a key made for it sounds expensive to me.

Years and years ago a buddy had a '60 Chev 4 door sedan.  The ignition key for my '68 Chevelle would work in his car and his key would work in mine.  Thankfully the door lock keys were different so I never had to worry about him taking my car without my knowing about it.  ;-)
