Took the car this morning for the last ride of the season. Ten-15 (Anthony), Mustang Sally (Tom), and I, went to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast, what a beautiful day !
My BB loved the 36 degree temp, it drove excellent
.

Afterwards, I topped off the tank, added Sta-bil, pump up the tire pressure, check all fluids, connected the battery tender, covered it, bagged it, and closed the door until April.
Let the winter games begin !

Took "The Toy" out yesterday for a spin. Probably was the last 60+ degree day we'll see until next spring. I'll hold off puttin' it away for as long as I can but once MNDOT starts spreadin' the winter crud on the roads that's it.
Put "The Beast" away for the 'snow season" a week ago and converted the insurance to 'storage mode' to save a few pennies.
"BIGBRRD" is still at the body shop. Supposedly paint will be on and done before the end of the month. If the roads are still ok by then we'll probably bring it home. If not he's keepin' it 'til spring...!!!
I've been mothballed for a month already! Yesterday I washed and waxed my daily in 38 degree weather. MICKI, I have chapped dishpan hands!!!!!
Don't worry warbird, the winter dulldrums will go fast.
Did you notice that as we age, time speeds up?

Mine has been up on floor jacks for a few weeks now, getting the long list of repairs tended to.
I guess if I put 10K miles on her in 6-7 months, she will need some downtime to recupe.

Us folks up north here know it's INEVITABLE.
No road salt, rain or snow and I keep getting just one more ride about once a week.
I'll keep holding off on the Sta-Bil, tire pressure & other stuff for a bit longer.
Soon enough, though.
