Don't blame ME fer that!!
That were sumbuddy ELSE that did that!

I have that book, too...sure didn't spend over $20-$30 for it either. Some of the info may be just a bit incorrect, but overall, it's pretty good reading/looking.

I've got a library of them things myself. I'm an avid reader anyway, so all my friends give me Corvette books for Christmas.

Brian that's a great collection you have going. I'm starting to gather a few but have a long way to go.

I've got most of Redwing's list.  Some are much better than others as far as reference is concerned, but most are good reading.  I recommend adding:

Anything by Noland Adams.  Mr. Adams' work is primarily C1 and C2, but if you want to understand Corvette history and production, his stuff is great.

Vette Vues 1968-72 Corvette Fact Book and The 1973-77 Corvette Fact Book by M. F. Dobbins   Dr. Dobbins knows his stuff.  These two are great photo references for owners restoring Corvettes.

The 1969 Stingray Guidebook  Rick Bizzoco  Terrific stuff for '69 owners, but also great reading for anyone with a C3.  Said to be out of print, but Crane's Corvettes might still have copies.  http://www.cranescorvette.com/

Birthplace of Legends  Peter LiCastro  Corvette production at St. Louis.  Includes C1 and C2 info, but also C3 including a layout of the assembly line about the time '68 production began.  Has a blurb about the last St. Louis Corvette, where it wejt, and who has it.

Corvette From The Inside  Dave McLellan  Good reading.  Contains some C3 information, but is primarily C4.  An insider's explanation of the reasons for the move to Bowling Green.

All Corvettes Are Red by James Schefter  Great insight on the inner workings of the development of the C5.

In addition, old issues of Corvette News and The Corvette Restorer provide useful information.

For model year specific information, the NCRS Judging Guides are definitive sources.

Everybody ought to have a reproduction owner's manual (store an original  and keep the repro in the car); the assembly instruction manual, a chassis and service manual, and a tune up guide (your choice:  Chilton's, Haynes, etc.)

Smile
