That sure sounds positive Michael. We'll pray that there is at least a small particle of justice in this life bro.
Michael....next time you insure a Corvette be sure to have a set amount of dollars you would like to have from your car in case it is totaled.

No fuss, no muss and ......NO LAWYERS !!!

Remember, if you have a lawyer negotiate on your behalf, they want their cut of the monies received,,,,and it is usually a BIG cut.
I found out thats what I had all  along. I knew I had it on my old policy and Travelers just went and took what I had with the old CO. and transfered it over. Thank God
The adjuster got ahold of me today. He checked the service they use for a cars worth. He said I was right on the money when I told him it was a tick under $24,000. He also told me that he told Travlers that my Vette was by his experience well above average condition. He told me to have the car taken to my bodyshop as soon as I could get it there. He said the only place he could find the pinstripes and fades was Phoenix. He also located all the NOS fenders, hood, front bumper, ect. He said he is going to get it done right because of the fact it's a collector Ed. He is a car guy himself and not some hack that has no interest in cars.
Check here for your pinstripes and graphics.

Gator:

Sorry to here of your misfortune.  I did not read all the threads to your post, but I have had State Farm for over 30 years now and I never had an accident till a dude pulled out and I hit him at 55mph.  Totaled my SUV and his Van.

State Farm called me and stated I needed to settle with them and they needed to get the vehicle out of the yard it was towed to.  Back then I think it cost them $100 - $125 a day.  They low balled me and I simply told the girl until they pay me what it is really worth, they could continue to pay the yard.  I got what I thought was the vehicle was worth within 1 hour.

I would keep that in mind and see what they will give you and can you buy it back after you get their "comittment in writing."  If you can come out on the deal with buying it back and repairing it.  You might be better off buying another darling for your pleasure.

Like everyone else, you are not replaceable, the car is.  Get better soon!
