Hi All,
Anyone tried, or own one of these gizmos? I saw them at Carlise last week and thought they might be the thing to keep from using jack stands and the like - now that I'm gett'n old.
I see they lower to 4.5 inches, just barley low enough for ol' blu to run over. I would need to park over it when not in use.
Prices are around 1100 bucks.
Anybody out there use one? Wadda ya think?

A friend of mine got one to restore a Mustang. He loved it. Ya can work around the sides and wheel wells sitting in a chair and still get under the car too. Also if you don't have high ceilings there aint many choises anyway.

i have one and i love it. got mine because of what jeff said, low
ceiling (8'). lifts the 75 within an inch of the ceiling and i take my
mechanics chair and roll around under it.. the other plus is what you
said, i park over it and don't lose any space. 2 and 4 posts would be
nice if you had the room but these are great too.

How much do they interfere in undercare maintenance/repairs though? It seems that exhaust/suspension work would be difficult. I have a ceiling just over 9', and I've been looking into purchasing a lift recently. I might be able to fit a 9'3" high, floorplate lift in there, but it would be a close call...
Everytime I think I want to buy a lift, something else needs fixing so I end up spending the money on parts instead. I have a 10ft ceiling so no issues there. My niebor has a two-post lift in his and boy would that be nice. Someday maybe.

there is a few things that are hindered but for the most part they are great. when my vette is up i have full access to the engine and tranny pan. dropping the tranny would not be possible at least i can't see how easily. the rear is accessible too. exhaust is about 90% accessible as the only thing would be sliding the pipe thru to the front. in other words the middle of the car may not be fully open but you can get your arms in there.
dwight the one you show only raises car 26". the one i have raises up to a max of 53" plus that site don't see a price either. i got mine from complete hydraulic for 1049.00 plus 175.00 s&h to nj.

they were very easy to deal with and very fast to ship it out. got here about 4 days before they said it would. also have all the other lifts available too. mine is the tcpl6.
with the ceiling height issue this to me is a great thing to have.

Great info guys.....I'm sold. Now I need to unload some stuff on ebay to get the cash for it....no problem.
Yes, I have the standard height garage, maybe a bit taller, so it'll work nice. I figure most of the stuff I do it would be a blessing to work on cars...rather than the ol' jack stands and all that nonsense.....
Is it necessary to bolt them to the floor?
