Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

All right guys, I was relaxing this afternoon, surfing e-bay and found this.
It looks like the whole front end tilts up, but you can only see in the shots of the engine.
I can't imagine this is anything close to the real thing, but it looks pretty good for an imposter.
What does anyone know about this car?

Had me sold - it's a cool conversation piece. Engine compartment was bubba-tized- needs to be cleaned up. But yeah - very cool.

I agree with you guys. Interesting, but...

I wonder what the reserve price is. The high bid has gone up over $500 since I first saw it.

Not too bad, but I bet this guy is wanting to make a killing on it. Definitely a conversation piece.

Although not the original, this is one of the best of the kits that I have seen. Does anybody else remember when you could buy the front and rear clips, advertized in any hot rod mag for around $600 each in the 70's? I always wanted one, and perhaps when i am done with the 2 I have Ronda will let me have a third to work on. My intention for the '74 was to do that with it, but....
Right now, the body kits are retailing for $3,000 front and rear.

Rosen DID build a few Mako/Mantas, but that ain't one of them...it's too new.
The link that Dave has does show a Motion type Manta rear, tho.

It's a kit installed on a '74. And I agree, nice work. GM still owns the real Mako and Manta.
