Keep in mind that those prices are more than likely a national average. Checking out the NADA blue book (NADAguides.com) classic cars section may reflect more regional pricing based on your zip code.

I just read an interview with the boss of Corvette's of Houston. He sez, quote: "There are a lot of folks out there buying the C-3's, restoring them, and putting them away". I believe it was Vette mag online that talked to him.
Seems right. As we know, the population is increasing, and they are not making any more C-3's. Or C-4's.
Best deals out there for return on your money except the right C-3's are the C-4 roadsters, 87 thru 90.

Very interesting ! I was just reading some 'vette history and looking at a ton of pics and have decided that I personally think the C3's are the best looking of the bunch. Glad thats what I purchased and am looking at another next weekend if he doesn't sell it before then.
Only thing is I know I couldn't "put one away". i have had show cars and I drove them almost as much as as my drivers !

youre right I think the C3's are the best looking.. bumper cars are a plus in the looks too.

a 57 of the the C1.5's and a 67 of the C2 have loads of style. I'd give up one of my testicles for a 427 67 or a fuelie 57

Hell you are looking for a second Corvette 7 days after you pulled the trigger and bought your first....lol I admit that I am addicted but you have me beat....

However OLDER Corvettes are really cheap to own....where can you buy a car and drive it 3-4 years and still be able to sell it for close to if not more then you paid for it...

Since this one is for your wife...I would just advise you to
buy here one that is NOT AS MUCH FUN TO DRIVE as yours...

My wife drive the ONLY Automatic Corvette I own (a 79 L82
with spoilers)...I do like to drive it BUT not when I am in the mood to REALLY drive a Corvette...if you get my point..

Just a note that the Conv.big block bumper cars with air have skyrocketed in price as have the Conv. L46 4 speed with air cars.

The 72 LT1 4 speed conv. with air is pricey too.

Corevette Magazine, (published every 2 months), does a pricing update on a different era Corvette every edition. They rotate from C1 through C5 and throw in a "Special" model edition as well. Seems pretty thorough with explanations of each years signifiacnt differences. I think that you can view or buy past issues on line at www.corvettemagazine.com.
