Max Jax lifts are on sale until the 31st of this month for $1939 with free shipping. I think I am going to order one. With the low head height I have in my work garage I think its a good fit. Was wondering does anyone know if they are less anywhere and if you have one how do you like it.

I have a four post from Superlifts, the SR-7H. They will deliver and install your lift for a fee. Stay away from the economy lifts that cost around 1,100.00. The steel in these lifts are made from recycled steel from overseas.  I have seen these lifts flex.

Hey Bob, Good to hear from you. How you doin. I almost have to go with a max jax for here at home because of ceiling height. I plan on getting a 4 post for my dads garage where I store mine for the winter. That way He can store my car and tractors! But thats later this year or next.

The lift showed up today. Earlier then they had promised and they didnt call in advance so I could make arrangements to have equipment to unload it. The truck driver was really cool thou. He agreed to take it to my lane at home where I got the JD with the front end loader and unloaded it and put it in the garage. Now later next week I will take it out to the shed so I can attempt to get it installed. I really wasnt ready for it but Im glad its here.

Always good to get a new toy, Rodney! I wish I could get one but that will have to be in the future!

Well, I have the lift posts laid out where I would like to put them. I am trying to save as much space as possible so I can put the other vette in the garage beside the lift. Now as I said in another post my shed that I have now used to be a 12 x 18 shed and I expanded to a 20 x 24 shed. When I did this i added concrete on each side of the original pad in a 3 x 18 section and in the rear a 6 x 20 section. My lift will be going on the original pad that was 12 x 18. Plenty big enough and it leaves 72" on the side to the wall. The vette is only 69" wide so I can have one on the lift as the other one is being stored if needed. In order to do this I am going about 4" narrower on my posts. I took a pics of the lift in place with the arms set under the car, pic 1
this shows both arms under the car. The only concern I have is the position of the front leg. It will be on the frame area that is turning in and up on the car. As you can see I Plan on using a 6" pad on front and 3" pad on rear. This should level the car very close normal.
pic 2 which is a total of 6" front lift and a 3" rear leg pic 3
I have enough spacing between the body and the inside of the post at 10" per side. It allows the doors to open 2/3's of the way which is plenty to get in and out of. I will not be able to work on the interior with doors opened and posts in place but that is the beauty of the lift as the posts are very portable and can be stored when not in use. All this is to save some space to park the second one inside if needed.
Where do you locate the leg pads for your vette? I could move the lift posts back which would allow me to pick up the car further back on the front but I think this should be ok.
What do you guys think?
Thanks
Rodney

Hi Rodney..good to see the progress..if your lift arms lock when it goes up then it shouldn't matter about the arm being out on the rise of the frame..I have never lifted one up that far but I guess it can be done..I would not want the arm to slip out and fall foward..not much from keeping it from doing so if the arms don't lock.
