Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
I agree, I look at my car too and see the snow buried on top of and I long for those Hot Summer Days that I can take off my T-Tops and enjoy the NEW stereo I got (that is waiting to be installed) LOUD and cruisin around town.

ok guys, we sound like a bunch of old ladies whining. let's try to warm this up a bit. anybody have any good stories about last summer while cruizin in your cars? I posted one last fall about about an older lady sitting in a beautifully restored 57 T-bird who told me she just loved my car. still smile about that when I think of it. or how many times do you hear "nice car" while at a stop light. can't wait for t-tops and tank tops.
I just got my car in December. I used my sister's blazer and a rented car dolly. Drove 500 mi each way to get it. On the way guess what, it snowed. Not just snow, but a real rip of a storm. 500 mi took over 15 hours, using the 4wd on the interstate at about 1/5 of the trip. Coming back I had the rear wheels of the C3 on the dolly, and the front end wanted to sway. The weather and roads were now clear, but cold. To keep the swaying under control I had to keep it down to 45 mph, cruise control all the way. Boring, and another long drive. My Dad, 70, went with me for company. I drove all the miles. We left Friday at 1 pm, stopped at a motel for about 8 hours, got the car Sat at noon, got home Sun 3 am. Went to bed and got it off the dolly the next morning. But I started it for the first time on 5 years (this took some time), and drove it into the drive way. I had no last summer with the car. There it is, covered with snow, driving me crazy wanting to work on it.

As some of you know, I work full time for a local municipality. When it starts snowing, we call it "pennies from heaven." Yes I am one of those guy's in the big plow truck that takes great joy in burying the end of your driveway's. Just kidding. I myself am very tired of the snow. The only positive thing about it for me is the overtime money. That keeps the progress of the vette ongoing. Other than that, I can't wait till spring myself. BTW- overtime monies is buying the vette a LT4 Hot Cam setup. Hopefully I can get the engine near 400 hp.

Guess I ticked of "Ol' Man Winter" with my previous post...!!!
Since then we've picked up almost 2 feet of snow and had a 5 day stretch of extra cold where the air temps never got above zero and the windchill dipped into the minus 30s and 40s.
I'm done talkin' 'bout the winter weather...!!!

If the groundhog sees his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter. BUT>>> Feb 2nd is the center point of winter. We are 6 weeks in with 6 weeks to go by the calender. Who thought up this groundhog thing??? IF he does not see his shadow we STILL have 6 more weeks of winter!!

I know what you mean, so I got a car tent. Its just as cold and there is planty of snow to go around here on the Eastern Shore, but I can go out, uncover the Vette, inside the tent start it up. I even went as far as putting down a tarp on the floor. Its still cold as h--- inside the tent but the car is high and dry. Its about a $400.00 investment but well worth it. If you want I'll send some pic's.
Thanks Glenn
