Same here, I broke the shaft of the actuator and one screw while doing a complete rebuild of the right headlight assembly, NOT looking forward to the left......
Never drilled a hole into myself YET, but tried to wire wheel grinder my leg off while working on the old exhaust.
You are getting there, keep up the hard work!

Sooo...ya poked a hole in yer ankle, filled it with bondo, and then while sanding it down with a sander, ya reached bone on yer finger? That's taking "Workin my fingers to the bone" a bit far, doncha tink?
We've all been there....at least YOU are making steady progress on the car. That's what counts.

It must cost a small fortune just to heat the shop for the winter
, and here it comes. But at least you might have more time to progress on the vette
.

actually winter doesnt get too bad here in arkansas.
even when it does.. i just turn on my HID lights.. I usually dont use them because they are too hot and bright. Ive only installed 2 so far but I have one more on the shelf that i can put up once i decide where.
but in the winter... each of these 400W lights produces 1365 BTU/HR (400 x 3.412) and they warm my workspace remarkably well. the fringes not so much.
the flourescent lights themselves (20 light fixtures with 2 60W lights each) 2400W or another 8190 BTU/hr.
this adds up to appx one "ton" of heat in the 4000 sq ft back room. not great but I survive. I do have 2 gas space heaters but they are in the front room (2000 sq ft).
