Wow! Is that what a trim tag is supposed to look like!? Mine was a mess, having been painted around multiple times.

Adam, on your '79, the trim tag WAS painted to begin with...I think they started doing that in '77 or '78. The older cars had the tag installed after the body was painted, but before final assembly. The later cars had the tag installed before paint.

And you are correct....that IS a really nice trim tag!! Most of them by now are all scratched up from cleaning, and from being painted over after the fact.
