Hello!
I wasn't looking for anything, but I keep an eye out on local listings for anything C3. Just found a 74 (like mine) being parted out in my area and it has moon roofs. I would be interested.
Asking for 300$ (that's Canadian). I have not seen them yet.
Doing some search on the web turned too much and some conflicting or useless info.
Before I go see them this weekend, please let me know what I should look for and if you think the price is right assuming a fair condition (little scratches and okay seal).
All I know so far is that some have fiberglass outer band matching car color, some are one whole piece (maybe just for C4s) and some requires different hooks (I couldn't drop it as-is in my 74). I believe there are also an array of different tint for some of them (yellow/gray/smoke/...).
Should there be a rubber seal like my original t-tops? Are they the same or I'll have a hard time finding replacements?
Thanks in advance for any insight.

Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Nomad Wagon, with Daytona front, custom hood scoop, dual side vents; 420HP 350; Doug Nash 5 speed; 1980 rear end W/4:11 gears; Cherry Red metallic paint.
As a person who has dreamed and watched for a set of them here, i can assure you that if they are in good condition, that is a great price. The general price i have seen for them, needing only a seal set is in the $900 (us) range. But, that is for a GOOD set. As for the use and dropping them in, if you search the topics here, you will find that C3s had 2 types of T-tops, the change occurring in '78 i believe. The change between the two of them is a simple inexpensive conversion from what i have heard, so don't worry about that.
Back in the day, i don't recall anybody making a targa (one piece) roof for the C3, those were rare and unthought of until the advent of the C4 in 84. But that is just the memory of a boy who LOVED custom Vettes and the parts that made them so. I am sure there are guys here who will correct me where i am wrong

Stephane, if they are on a '74 now, then they should fit yours also. Yes, there are two different types of tops for the Shark era cars, but they are interchangeable with minor mods. That price does sound reasonable, if they are in good condition. Seals should be same as OE, afaik.
Nice to hear for you, also!! Haven't seen you on in a while.
