I have figured out most of it..
01E Jan 82 not sure what the E is. 104795 sequence.
13I Silver int 13L Silver lower 13U Silver upper. 39M this is where I am stuck, the only thing I can find so far is 39m charcoal accent stripe?
What accent stripe? Seems odd to me. Help! Is this really a strip code or is this bad info. Does anyone have an idea?
TIA

There Should be a "B" or a "C" preceding the 01E. "B" for 1981, and "C" for 1982 build year. Your's will be a "B". Then you have the month of production, 01, which is January. The "E" is the week of the month, so you're looking at a car built the 4th week of January, 1982. The 104795 sequence # agrees.
13I =Silver Leather
13L & 13U = Silver Metallic Paint
The "E" after the paint code is for Enamel paint(Bowling Green Plant)
39M may well reference a Charcoal Metallic accent stripe between the upper and lower body line, such as a two-tones car would have. Does the car have a pinstripe on it? Does the car appear to have ever been re-painted?

Another good excerpt from a forum thread:

"Starting with Bowling Green production in June 81, ALL BG Corvette trim tags had a paint code with an "L" and a "U". Bowling Green cars have the primary paint color code repeated twice, next to both the "L" and "U". A BG car painted solid charcoal gray has a trim tag coded 39L 39U, 39 being the charcoal code. An 81 two-tone silver over charcoal is marked 33L 33U 39M on the trim tag. 33L and 33U being the silver primary color of the car and 39M being the charcoal lower accent color. An 82 silver over charcoal would be coded the same way, except that silver was changed from 33 to 13 in 82, so the tag would read 13L 13U 39M."
Looks like what this means is that the whole car was painted silver= 13L and 13U
Then, the two tone color was painted over half the silver paint= 39M
Hope this helps,
Paul

Ok I guess that makes sense I was confused by the third set of numbers. The car has been painted twice that I can see. Once red, now a dark green metallic. Not even a Corvette color. Paint is still very nice and it will be the last thing I redo!
Will post some pics soon! Glad you guys are here and are so smart!
