Just wanted to share my excitement!  I haven't had it running for almost a year.  Things went slower than I expected...lol.  But its finally running and running well.  Its so much different from before.  The sidepipe exhaust is just awesome.  It sounds like dual exhaust when cruising down the highway (lots of thanks to the 700R4), but when you give it a little bit of gas...it screams loud!!  I haven't put the Holley MPFI kit I got on the motor yet.  I started to install it, but I figured I'd be busy enough getting other stuff right and I also wanted to see what the difference between the EFI and a carb feels like on the engine.  I got it done just in time to take it to a car show in town so that was pretty fun to actually participate in it this time.  Still a lot left to do before my plans for it are complete, but I'm going to drive it the way it is until winter before I resume.  Below are two links to my website that has some pics.

I also still have a few things left to do to the interior like replace my worn out vinyl covered cardboard sides of the console.  I'm thinking of covering them with the carbon fiber looking stuff and then also using that on the spot where the shifter indicator used to be with some type of emblem or graphic.  The Hurst Quarterstick is really sweet and I'm probably going to get a custom boot for it so my reverse lockout lever will show through.  The seats were a pain to put in, but they feel a lot better than the stock seats.  I'd also eventually like to redo my gauges, but they are fine for now.

Its a work in progress!  But one I can finally drive again!

Sounds - and looks - like a pretty sweet ride. I know you're glad to be "on the road again"! Just be careful who you're "whizzing" on - my last name is RICER. Me 'n my LT-1 just might have to square off with you one day on I-95. lol

Its better to go to a corvette event; have a great time; haul it home on a flat bed; than not enjoy the car we have.

Nice looking engine, there!  I'm sure you'll get a lot of nice comments at shows!

I know the feeling (and it was only 2 months for me).

Very good looking; enjoy it!  That's the reward of hard work.

Job well done on the before/after of the rear suspension. One thing though; I seem to have spotted a shim on the ground! Hope you didn't need it!

Thanks for the compliments guys!  Its been great making up for lost time in the past week.  I really can't wait to put the EFI on this winter, that should make the car run better and add a bit to the look of the engine.  And that is one of my old rusty shims on the ground...lol...replaced them with some SS.
