Topic: My buddy is upset

Most all (prob about 98%) of C5 and 6 owners out here don't even look twice at my Vette. I gave up on them. Some times I think they don't even know an early Vette when they see one. I see the same cars regularly, but they never have even looked at mine when sitting next to them at a stop lite.[/QUOTE]
Gotta love it, though......it's hysterical seeing the jealousy. The gawking and finger-pointing directed at our Vettes has got to get under their skin.

And you can't beat the value, which continues to go UP

There is an odd twist to consider. When I was working in the Chevrolet dealer in the 70s and early 80s the Corvette owners who were buying brand new C3s acted just like the C5 buyers do today.
I suspect that many years from now the C5 owners will be more like us, and the newest version owners will follow on the snobby tradition.

JUST TO CONFIRM WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT---ONE FRIDAY AFTERNOON DRIVING HOME ON I-95 MINDING MY OWN BUISNESS, DOING ABOUT 78 MPH IN A 55 ZONE, I FELT SOMEONE PACING ME. I LOOKED TO MY LEFT AND THERE WAS A RI STATE TROOPER. HE ROLLED DOWN HIS WINDOW--GAVE ME A THUMBS UP AND KEPT ON GOING. SATURDAY AM I WAS BUYING A COFFEE AT A LOCAL DRIVE THRU WHEN THE LANDSCAPING CREW--ALL WOMEN IN THEIR 30'S--COMPLIMENTED MY VETTE. SUNDAY AM, LEAVING A RESTAURANT, I STOPPED TO LET A VERY WELL DRESSED WOMAN IN HER 89'S WALK IN FRONT OF MY CAR AN SHE LOOKED AT MY WIFE AND I AND SAID "WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CAR". AND OF COARSE ALL THE LITTLE KIDS IN THE NEIBORHOOD LOVE IT. ANYWAY-- ALL AGES LOVE THE C3 VETTES. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS SUMMER.

It's Okay Micki, You are a C3 owner who just happens to also own a C5. Which is a very good thing. You are not just a C5 owner. The difference is clear.
