Topic: My buddy is upset

It's Okay Micki, You are a C3 owner who just happens to also own a C5. Which is a very good thing. You are not just a C5 owner. The difference is clear.
That "NASTY" C-5!!

"Just happens" is a very good description!

Lets change it at GM as Ferrari with some models : You MUST own some older ones before you can buy a new ! ( special editions , ok. )
So Micki , you are allowed to drive your C5 when the weather is not 100 % so people don't mention so much passing cars ....
Sorry , C5 what's that ? are there others than C3 ?
Ok I have to put in my 2 cents we had 20cm snow up here and I'm . Anyway I find that every time a Corvette passes me ( going the other way of course ) they always give the Corvette wave, C5 as well.
Now when it comes to shows the C5 guys usualy have their heads stuck inside a C3 when your not looking. All kidding aside there has always been a mis-conception that Corvette owners think their stuff don't stink.I have found Old or New Corvette owners are pritty cool Guys and Gals. There are some you will never change no matter what you do. I would be realy concerned if I was hearing that the Mopar boys loved our cars.
There are several distinct groups. Some are new car status folks. Some are Corvette lovers, no matter what year.
And then there are the other brand guys who also like our C3s. They don't like to admit it, but they like them.
Of course the Mopar guys try to ...ahem..."Dodge" the issue
Happens to me all the time as well! My wife's girlfriends have C5 &6's and my wife thinks she is "Wilma Flintstone" riding in my '77! My car is original and in damn good shape. It was built on March 15, 1977 a few cars ahead of the 500,000th Corvette and somehow she just doesn't care about such trivia! What's a guy to do?
Save the Wave,

JUST TO CONFIRM WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT---ONE FRIDAY AFTERNOON DRIVING HOME ON I-95 MINDING MY OWN BUISNESS, DOING ABOUT 78 MPH IN A 55 ZONE, I FELT SOMEONE PACING ME. I LOOKED TO MY LEFT AND THERE WAS A RI STATE TROOPER. HE ROLLED DOWN HIS WINDOW--GAVE ME A THUMBS UP AND KEPT ON GOING. SATURDAY AM I WAS BUYING A COFFEE AT A LOCAL DRIVE THRU WHEN THE LANDSCAPING CREW--ALL WOMEN IN THEIR 30'S--COMPLIMENTED MY VETTE. SUNDAY AM, LEAVING A RESTAURANT, I STOPPED TO LET A VERY WELL DRESSED WOMAN IN HER 89'S WALK IN FRONT OF MY CAR AN SHE LOOKED AT MY WIFE AND I AND SAID "WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CAR". AND OF COARSE ALL THE LITTLE KIDS IN THE NEIBORHOOD LOVE IT. ANYWAY-- ALL AGES LOVE THE C3 VETTES. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS SUMMER.
These are the reasons I still have my LT-1, but you don't have to YELL.
