Cool!! |thumb| Last year I also bought an 80 L-82 with only 59k original miles. I LOVE IT! I did alot of research on it and found that there were not many produced. (only 5069 out of 40614) Mine turned out to be #39952 out of that 40614. I would like to know the build date but haven't figured out how to find it. Please tell me more about yours, options etc... Mine came with almost every option including the FE7 suspension package, It's really fun to drive. |biggrin| Look forward to hearing from you and all the other 80 owners out there.

Tim,
I plugged your S/N 39952 into the NCRS Birthday VIN site and it says your 1980 was born on August 18, 1980 |cheers|

Vette(s): 1980 L-82 Automatic, White with Claret interior, pw, pl, mirrored glass t-tops...22,000 original miles
Wow, thank you to everyone who has welcomed me. I am really looking forward to getting involved here and learning more about this wonderful past-time.

For those who asked. My car is a while 1980 L-82 with claret interior. It has 22K original miles with all the options including the gymkana suspension (i'm not sure if i spelled that right). Anyways, I am enjoying the hell out of it....especially since I don't have to beg my dad to let me drive his 99 anymore. It's nice to have something in common with my dad....we have really been able to spend some quality time together with our cars this summer.

I appreciate you all letting me into your fine group.......have a nice day!!!

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
|QUOTE|Stefs80 said: Hi, I just wanted to say "hello". I am a new C3 owner....I picked up a 1980 L-82 with 22,000 original miles on it earlier this summer. I have been having a great time cleaning it up and riding around. Finally.......no more having to beg my father to let me borrow his 1999. I am really enjoying reading the info on this site and hope to be able to chime in hear and there. Hope all is well!!!
