Does someone have the website address where I can find the date my Vette was assembled?
I want to know the actual date and what day of the week it was.

Look on your trim plate,(left-hand door hinge pillar). In the upper left, a letter representing the year ( C for 82) followed by 2 nums.= month(01=Jan/12=Dec), and a letter for the week of the month(A=1st wk,B=2nd wk, etc.) Ex. C 10 B = 2nd wk. Oct. 1982. Have fun!!!

I'd like to get it down to the exact date.
I have my build sheet and window sticker. Is there a coded date on either of those?
I thought there was some way to tell the exact day with the vin number.
And I thought someone had a website or a book that gave it to you.

the date should be on the sticker on the drivers door..
you can find the month from the VIN alone.. but it may bot even be accurate.
A car with VIN x could have built upto a point in september than sidelined due to a problem for a month and have a final assembly date in october.

On my build sheet in the upper LH corner is the "job sequence number" C0249168.
Is that related to a date?
There is also just below that the "sched. no. date" 36-1020-08-03.
Is that related to a date?
In box 7 is 51.
In box 7A is 29-30.
In box 8 is 024916 twice.
Are any of these coded dates?
On the window sticker, just below the VIN is 12-503 BER236 SA

That number "36-1020-08-03". 08-03 should be August 3, 82. Is your VIN a late one? But really, the no. on the trim plate is the most reliable to go by.
The nos. 12-503 would likely be Zone no. 12, dealer no 503.
Ber 236 SA probably the order no.
I'm comparing these to my 78 and 79 sheets and a "template" with the build sheet nos. supplied to me by a NCRS judge. To compare, you can go to the NCRS Wisc. web site and checkout their Birthday calculater. It can be pretty accurate but can also be way off(My Pace Car is off by 18 days!) Again, check the trim tag.

According to the NCRS WI Chapter calculator and my VIN, it was built on Aug. 16, 1982.
The Aug. 3, 1982 date is probably closer to actual.
I can't check the trim plate right now as my Vette is hibernating for the winter.
Thanks for the help and good advice.
