Any way of getting more of the stickers? Those are great too! Also, I noticed you are running an electric fan with no shroud. Obviously the spreader bar would get in the way of the shroud. But what temperature does it run at in the summer? |
Those two stickers were made by different guys. The one on the mirror was made by a guy that owns a sign shop in Florida. He is on the Corvette Forum as Signguy. The other sticker on my window was made by a gentleman on the same website as LOTAHP. Both great guys and very accomodating.
I was having a vibration in my vette that was causing me some concern. I was doing some troubleshooting and just for kicks took the factory fan off and the vibes went away. Even before that, I was having some cooling issues. As I would go down the road at 55-60MPH the temp would continue to climb. I had the radiator flow tested and they said it was ok. All seals were in place. Still overheating. I contacted Tom DeWitt at DeWitts Radiator and he set me up with a factory reproduction aluminum radiator and the SPAL fan. My car never gets over 200 now and will stay on 180 while moving. I have been very pleased with the radiator.
Great video Eddie! Now if I only had a neighbor like you to inspire me to attempt those kinds of modifications and replacements on my own Vette, by my own hand. I just really hate the thought of screwing it up...BIG TIME! I was a pleasure watching how you transformed something great into something better. Keep up the good work. |
Hey neighbor. Glad you like my vette. If you lived closer to me, I would be glad to help you. But I can tell you for sure, sometimes I had no idea. I just jumped in with both feet and gave it a shot. I was afraid of screwing something up too but I just kept telling myself that I knew I could do it. I got mostly frustrated trying to put the interior back together while it was 90+ degrees in my garage. I made many improvements and have been enjoying the vette. I still have a few ideas I would love to incorporate into the vette yet.

Good job on the car and the show. I didn't care for the music, just my taste, but a great job never the less. |
Kyster, thanks for the compliments. I know you can't please everyone when it comes to music and cars, so I put what I like into it. Both songs are by KISS. The first one is called War Machine and the second is called I Love It Loud.
