Here is my homemade pressure bleeder. It is made out of a $9 bug sprayer from Home Depot. I got the gauge and its fittings at Lowes for about $8 or so. Then I got the hoses and barbed fittings at Ace for around $7. I bought it all over the course of a couple of weeks as I could not get all the parts at one place. The cap is clear plexiglass and needs a gasket to make it seal to the master cylinder. I just haven't added the gasket yet. You just put the fluid in the tank, clamp the lid to the master cylinder with a small c-clamp, pump the bug sprayer up to 10-15psi. Then go wheel to wheel and bleed the brakes. No more pumping. I put about 8 feet of tygon tubing on the pressure tank so I could get it away from the car in case of a leak. Everything is nice and tight as I pumped it up last night and left it pressurized with 12psi and it was still there this afternoon.

Damn......and I paid $300 for mine!
Mine looks almost exactly like yours, except it's black, and it has a gauge on the hose end.
Get an old(or buy a new one) gasket for the master, and just cut out the center 'bellows', and you'll have one that fits perfectly!
Great job, Eddie

What I originally wanted was a master cylinder cap. I looked all over
the place but the only way you can get one now is to buy a master
cylinder. How crappy is that?

No way, man! You can get just the cap w/gasket from several of the vendors. I bought a new one for the '74, so I could stash the orig. Mine came from Zip, I think, but Paragon sells them, too. Let me go check.........
Yeah, here ya go!

(ooops! You'll need to enter "master cylinder cap" in the search feature for this link. It doesn't go directly to the part. They do have the cap & gask, for a little less than Paragon.)Adams' Apple 38588.8103819444

You guys really need to use the internet. Went to Google, typed in 1980 Corvette Master Cylinder Cap and got one on the first hit. Its from http://www.vansteel.com/. Then I went back and checked for your 70 Vette sure enough they have it too, but I gota tell ya its 40 bucks your better off with your plastic one, as far as money goes.
I will have to get back to Autozone and check that out. I believe the last time I looked for on it was at Advance. Hmmm......
