Anyhow, Mostly be in the shadows listening and learning as I attempt to put this old girl right.

I would first get all the safety issues taken care of. Then decide whats important to you. Like, who needs a clock, that can wait. But if you don't have air you might want to get the window open. Take the door panels off, they got screws hidden in the carpet and under the arm rest. Lube stuff up and clean electrical connections before you go out buying switches and parts.
As far as some of the other stuff on your list, I'll just stop here cause I would fit into the little saying at the bottom of your page.
I have a friend from Alabama and boy do we love to pick on him.

Enjoy the Vette

Welcome aboard. Like you this is my first Vette. I joined a few months back and everyone here has been a great help. I’m learning a lot and will share anything I can with you. Take JeffM advice - safety items first, shake down the front end, check those brake calipers, tires and rear suspension.
Good luck and enjoy!
From your picture I'd say you got a pretty good deal. I don't know about it being cheaper than the Bass hobby. I had a tournament boat and fished the circuit years ago. Tackle and constant changing electronics....whew.
But with this fiberglass toy removing and replacing is at times a challenge, If you can do a lot of the work youself you'll be a little better. This is for sure the place you want to be for help, there ain't all dat much dat ain't ben doned by dess folks. It don't work like dat do it?
