Took Tux for a lil camping outing and road trip. Im a drivin along an the Stupid Alternator Gauge went to complete discharge. AAAARRRGGGHHH....
When I parked it it wouldn't start again. Durnit, I started checkin stuff an found the battery ground to be the 1st cuprit. It had plum corroded itself into shreads.
I fixed that 1st after convincing the fellow at Auto Zone to make this cable up for me.(I was campin with limited /primitive McGiver type tools)
Car starts YIPPEE. But gauge is boucin around everywhere. I check the connector at the alternator an Wallaaa, the hot side clip was broken in half. So back to Auto Zone for more stuff. Bought the conector, some el cheap-o vise scripts (they have a crimper built in them an they can stay with the campers el cheap-o tool kit.)
I finally got the conector on and fixed. It just made for lost time outta a nice day in the sun.
Good news is this is stuff is now done and should be no problem now when I cruise to NCM CCX next month.......Tuxblacray 2007-09-17 19:25:54

Still don't know for sure Jim. I have Tux & Blizzard (C5) registered. My oldest daughter isn't sure now if she can get off of work. If she does then both cars go. If not then Tux stays. (per my wife)
Another factor may be that I loaned Tux out for a parade this past Saturday. The people I loaned him to are interested in buying him. I told them I wanted to know something by this weekend. If they buy Tux I WILL be driving a C3 VERT BUMPER CAR back home at the end of the show on Sunday.

[QUOTE=dnv] Tux;The place across the street from the museum had lots o vettes for sale. Bring the BIG checkbook though. There were a few I would love to have.

I don't think I will be getting a car from Art's Corvettes Dennis. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to leave my hard earned dough behind there.
Yes, way Micki. I built Tux... modeled after the movie Rush Hour movie car. (although it was a vert and a bumper car)
After owning Blizzard I don't want another coupe. I know of a 70 black BB 4spd car but the guyz was too high last time I called him a year ago. It about a $13K car.
I like Tux... but I like all vettes and have no problems with giving Tux... a new home and finding a new stable mate for the Blizzard. Besisdes it hasn't happened yet and if it does it does if it doesn't then thats fine too.
If I had my way I would be drivin Eddie 70's car and just be smilin from ear to ear!Tuxblacray 2007-09-18 03:11:57
