Since Christmas is here and they are back in stores. If you need a little extra space for car show stuff and you trust your tires (no spare) Christmas reef storage boxes fit almost perfect.

what happens if your new or very good tires meet up with somesone nail or screw on the road. Will that thing work as a spare! lol

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Corvettes do not get flats.  It is a rule.  Spare tires are just to keep the common cars from getting irritated.

Now that's an idea. My wife just took her reef out of one of them. Think she'll miss it come January? Big smile

I gotta check to see if the spare is even there! I haven't looked at it since right after I bought the car!  Embarrassed

Vette(s): Gone, but not forgotten: 1974 Coupe Red, matching numbers, Black Interior, L-48 w/ 4 speed; The “Admiral”, also gone and never to be forgotten. 1994 Admiral Blue LT-1 coupe, Black Interior Automatic
After my encounter this summer with a metal shim, not only will I carry the spare, I will drop it periodically to maintain tire pressure...clever idea though.

There is no substitute for low end torque!

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
That is a great idea!  PLEASE do not tell Shirley that space is available! I have a hard time trying to get my tool tray and all needed things in the space required.

That spot has numerous other carrying possibilities I will not mention, but interstate travelers and the Patrol Cars know my drift.  It gets checked on regular intervals.
