I have a C3 because I like the way they look. I have a Tuned-port and 700R4 because they bring it up to more modern standards. If you want one to drive a lot C4 or C5. If you want to Cruise C3 or C3 with C4 or even better C5 driveline.

Decisions decisions, I've driven but never owned a C4 and like most everyone has said its the better overall car but...if there is a prettier, sexier, automobile than a C3 I havent seen it. And hey with the technology out there today who says you cant upgrade the drive train to whatever you want, fuel injected crate motors and all sorts of monster mods for them seem to be everywhere, as far as the handling well I guess we'll just have to sacrifice something for the heads that turn when the shark appears.

Vette(s): 1980 all org. with 18000 act. miles dk claret with matching interior..Eagle alloys ..loaded..excellent cond.
If I were you, I would jump on the 82 for 13K. I just bought a 80 this summer for $17000 and it has 18000 miles and in terrific shape. Low millage is a plus (if) it was stored properly. Mine has no rust and everything seems to be original. Just because it is low millage doesn't mean I won't drive it. This is my third 80 over the years and love the style. Have had a 63 (split) a 65 coupe 94 coupe and a 96 coupe. 94s and 96s listed at over $40000.00 and now they bring around 18 to 22000 thousand. Think I will hang on to the 80 for awhile. I checked out the 74 and 82. The price is too high for the 74 in the condition and options that are in the car. The 82 was supposed to have 9800 miles on it but it had 61K on it. Other than the mileage it was in nice shape, I feel the price is a little high for the car so I will continue my search. |headscratch|

I'm going to look at a few other C3's before making an offer on the 82. It's a good car for the right price. I'll post more later today.
