I have 1 of my classics up for sale. A guy called me about it. A friend told him that I'm getting into the C3s. He's wanting to trade me a 68 C3 L36  4spd coupe. He's want to trade even. I'm asking 45k for my car.  He says its NOM, But i'll verify b4 we trade. What ya'll think?

If I understand you correctly, your car is worth $45k and he wants to trade even for a non-matching numbers 68 coupe. IMO, the 68 is only worth 1/2 of what your car is worth.. .. maybe less

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
I would be a little hesitate to do it for several reasons.

A deal is only a deal for one of you and if he is wanting to do it i am sure he knows his c3 is not worth 45,000.00  I would not do it, nom does not mean numbers matching, think he needs to get his letters correct.  That is a lot of cash for a 68 coupe, period....  I would sell the classic and then go shopping, then you are the deal maker not the other way around.
I would say "NO DEAL HOWDIE"
but hell its your life

Thx for the input. I'm not looking for a bumper car and have no idea the money on them. I know my caddy. but if the money was close i might consider it. So roughly whats its worth? 25-30k?

Hmmmn.... being the analytical sort let me think.... You didn't say whut yer classic was... You did say whut you want fer hit though.

His 68 is NOM and a coupe (2 strikes for me) 4spd score 1 back. Brit Green ya say, take back that point. I love muscle cars and dependin on whut ya are offerin up at this point I would say no. That 68 ain't no where $45 grand worth of special.

Now do tell about the $45 grand car so we kin git a better understandin of whut ya got hidin in that stable of yourn.

I'm a hearin ya got a 100' buildin wit lotsa muscle hidden inside. C'mon now give ol' Tux... a lil sneak peek at the big pichur here Brau....

NOM means Not Original Motor...
A true 390hp 427, in decent shape is worth around $28,000-$38,000, depending on options..."British Green", while the most popular color that year, ain't exactly the most valued color these days.(no offense to any of ya'll that have one...)
IT might be worth it...might not. You'll need to check it out very well.
