It wasn't hit that hard, from what I could see driving by, but it was pretty rough.
Mama & Micki stopped to look at it one day....next day, it was gone! I guess seeing Micki lookin at it scared the guy into moving it! She said it was in really bad shape, tho...

Perhaps you could talk Micki into comin up there, Mike! At least, then you wouldn't have to look at it sittin there rotting anymore!
Say WHAT??!!  Well, I guess I did scare them.  I am pretty scarry!LOLWink  The car was WAY TOO MUCH WORK.Ouch

As soon as the weather clears up there, I'll come SCARE those people into sellin' that Vette real cheap to YOU. LOLWink

A great idea just came to mind!

Why don't you post their mailing address and have everyone here send a letter to the owner of the Vette.  This is a crying shame to see that car treated that way.  If the owner can't afford to get it in out of the weather and or on the road in the nice weather they should sell the darn thing.

We owe it to future generations to pass along the cars of yesteryear in good condition preserved as if it were a fine piece of art.

I also have a 1964 Pontiac Parisienne, never winter or rain driven then one day in the winter I was out in my regular car and some young kid (idiot) pulls up in the same era Pontiac with ice and snow all over it.  I gave him a piece of my mind and he had the nerve to say that that was all he had to drive.  He should never have bought it in the first place.  What do you do! Some people just don't give a darnn.

We have a bi-law in our area as do most local municipalities that state all vehicles must be in working order and taged for the street.  They can not be in disrepair, or in a damaged state, sitting in your driveway.

Our town code and I think NYS code requires vehicles to be registered and licensed, to keep people from creating their own junk yard.

But if it is in the backyard and out of sight, no one knows it.

I'll invest in a stamp if it would motivate the guy to sell it. But I doubt that it would.

Has anyone thought that maybe... just maybe... the women or man of the house got it in a divorce settlement and is just punishing their X by leaving it out in plain site... cruel and unusual punishment to the Vette I admit, but if it was your old Vette wouldn't that hurt! Angry

Nah.. probably some "goober" that has no idea how much it bothers the rest of us...  go for it Micki...!Confused

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

I see you guys all love vettes maybe more than I do as I just got my 82CE a few months ago.  The registry has been extremely helpful in helping me get it on the road.

But there is one thing I just cannot believe so many of you guys do not drive in the winter.  That’s a beautiful time of the year.  I can hardly wait until mine is completely road ready (for trips farther than I want to tow it back from).  A winter drive, along the coast or up in the mountains with the top off going to be great.

I guess sending dreams of Corvette winter heaven (sometimes called San Diego) is not nice or wise when I will need some help from all of you mid-west and east coast guys.

But I could not help myself. Left Coast and loving it.
