Hey everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself to you folks. I am new here on the board and recently acquired a '74 vette. This car was purchased by my father in 1973 and he was the original and only owner ever since. I have always absolutely loved that car and have great memories of my dad and I crusing around in it.
Well, he surprised me last weekend and drove it down from Ohio to North Carolina to give it to me for my 40th birthday! I was speechless! I have always been a vette fan and loved that car and now I have got my own. I am not much of a car person (something I didn't pick up from my father) but I have already gotten the books, catalogs, manuals and join this website. I want to thank you in advance for putting up with all my simple and/or complex questions. I look forward to being apart of this group.

Hello Rob,
Welcome
That is one neat story. This site has a great group of people, and I'm sure someone will be able to help you with anything that has to do with your vette.
Enjoy your new toy.

Well I also just turned 40 this year, but if I was going to do any vette swappin I'd have to give my dad my vette. He doesn't care much for them
Go figure. He thinks mine is just a waste of money. Hmm maybe he's got a point. Oh well I still love it.
Welcome.

There's nothing like taking ownership of a Vette that has been in your family for most of your life.

I am the proud owner of my mom's 73 coupe that she purchased in 1973. Lots of memories over the years with that car.
