Hi! this is my first vette and I have alot of questions. the car was origionally 427/390hp. some doofus swaped it with some chev 350? Is the origional very hard to find?hints?Second, the rims that are on it are crome spoked wheels with the vette flags on the center spinners.I've never seen them before but the previous owner purchased an info. package from G.M and it says the wheels were called short-spoke spiders. Are these origional or not?this package says that my 69 was quote"number imported for sale in canada(same model no. only)610. does this mean that my car was one of only 610 with perhaps special option wheels on it etc? the wheels are made by weld wheels, does anyone know if G.M ever outsourced some of their parts? don't have any pictures to post yet, sorry and thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi Ken!
Welcome to C3VR...!!!
Sounds like you have a real puzzle on your hands. I would recommend contacting the NCRS (National Corvette Restoration Society) for info on your car's options and such. Try to find as many numbers on the car itself for reference (VIN#, frame#, transmission, differential, etc.) as I'm sure that you'll be asked for them.
btw - the 350 was an engine option for the '69s so while it may not match what was in the car originally, it is at least 'right' for the year.

Welcome to the best forum! Wow, that's a puzzle on those wheels. Good answer Jim! NCRS should know where they came from. Good luck with your new toy!

You may be very lucky. While records for US manufactured and distributed vehicles where distroyed when production was moved to Bowling Green that may not be true for vehicles shipped to Canada.
Check the archives here and on the NCRS board. In the US you can get a restoration kit from GM with some nice generic information on your model year vette phone number is 8002221020. GM Canada has specific information on all Vettes imported for distribution in Canada. I believe you can get copies of the vehicle invoice, or tank sticker, etc the Holy Grail of Corvette restoration. Check the archives this has been discussed before.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.
