Rob,
The hose kit isn't as bad as it seems at first. I did mine a few months ago and it was easy except for getting under the dash. My little wife fit under there much easier than I did. Take each hose and lay them out on the garage floor and repalce each one one at a time according to the diagram. I did mine in the order the hoses were listed and followed the routing as I went and had no problems. It didn't fix anything either. My wiper door still didn't work. Another story. good luck. Jeff.

I just registered on this site too. I have visited before. But now I figured that I would commit to learning more about the C3 from others who obviously know what they are talking about. My vacuum system is working just fine. However, there are many others that do have problems.
Glad to be here! |smile|

|thumb| First off, I must say my wiper door works fine when it gets used since I have PA classic tags on it which limits my use and the headlights take a while to fully lock open (when the "Headlamp" light on the dash goes out). |headscratch| My main concern is if this constant loose of vacuum might affect performance.

Is your engine "stock" or has it been modified. If it has been modified, you may just not be getting enough vacuum to operate things properly at idle. In my '69, when I have a vacuum leak or even just a loose fitting, the wiper door opens and closes very quickly when I start the car. When I see this, I go out and poke around and usually just by pushing the vacuum lines on the fitting , it fixes the problem. Especially the canister in front of the passenger.
