The UPS guy arrived today with my next project. I ordered the headlight/wiper vacuum kit from Corvette Central. It came with the trouble shooting guide and the 3 hole grommet/hose filter/reserve check valve as well. Last weekend while trying to adjust the wipper door to line up with the fender height i noticed a 3 port valve attached to the passanger side wiper was broken. After looking through my assembly guide (invaluable)I found the part description and went looking for the part. Corvette Central $50, Mid-America $55. I bought it from GMparts direct for $28 plus shipping. Starting on the hose replace this weekend.

Is there a website for them?

Got all set to replace the headlight/wiper vacuum hoses today and as I was sorting them out I noticed they sent me a late 69 kit and I have an early 69. Corvette Central only list one kit for 69, so they will be getting a call. Next went to fixing my left parking light and fiber cable. The parking light was just a bad connection but the the fiber cable was a little more involved. The holder in the lamp assembly was gone, all I had was the cable and boot. Went to local harware store for ideas and came home with a rubber cone shapped plug. Drilled a hole through it, cut part of it off, removed the old boot and crammed the cable into the plug....works just fine
Next was getting that SOB wiper door aligned on the the right side. When I went to reinstall the door I dropped one of the screws for the left side and it went into an abyss. I spent 2 hours with a magnet and flashlight trying to find that thing with no luck. Finally my neighbor came over to see wahts up and I just said how about a few cold ones and some hot wings.
Off we went to the local pub. The screw will always be there tomorrow
