This post has been around a long time
So I need to Update.
My Vette is now Little Suzy, or sometimes just Suzy for short.
When I was doing the mild engine build when I told folks what I was doing, the response was often,"That will wake her up" SO....Wake up Little Suzy, wake up! At some point in the future she will become even more alert.

We call 'her'...depending on the venue...the 'Shark' (simply referring to the C3 body style starting with the word Mako), the 'Silver Bullet' (maybe I should approach Coors
), or 'Raider' (Oakland Raiders team colors), although I'm a Cincinnati Bengal fan!

Vette(s): 1976 - L-48 Auto, A/C, AM/FM, Power Windows, Tilt Telescopic Wheel, Factory Aluminum Wheels, Inferno Red Matalic Custom paint with Black Leather Interior.
When I got my 76 the first thing out of a guys mouth when I showed him pictures of it in my driveway was, "What a RAG" ... It was in pretty bad shape. He couldn't see the diamond in the rough. He has since changed his tune but, I still call her "Vinee's Rag".
I have three Vettes - Named:
1. "Pwecious" - 1979 C3 Coupe - The name came from my Wife and is related to the Hobbit and also Looney Tunes. She refers to the car as the "mistress I never had". Car was a gift for my Birthday.
2. "Barney" - 1986 Corvette C4 Coupe. Car was originally a gawd awful purple color (repainted by some owner at some tiime from its original silver). Car is now satin black and used for racing only, but the roof is still purple to keep the name alive. Car was named by my kids after that silly talking dinosaur.
3. "Barbie" - 1993 Corvette C4 coupe - White exterior. Daughter thought it looked like Barbie's Corvette. So the name stuck.
C3: 1979 Corvette Coupe, Auto, L-48, Red/Doeskin (my wife's fave);
C4s: 1986 C4 coupe (SCCA road race car), satin black, 4+3, Z51 package, L-98; & 1993 C4 coupe, white, 6-speed, LT-1.
Often I have called my '80 "The Money Pit' or "Piece of Crap" but on a GOOD day when she don't cost me "The Bat Mobile" or "Black Betty" when she's real good!

My wife christened my '74 Happy, because I was always happy while I was driving it. My '94 is known as "The Admiral" thanks to Norsky.
There is no substitute for low end torque!
lumberjack said: My car has one other nickname. Somewhere along the way a previous owner removed the seat belts. So, until I remedy that issue "Fiberglass Casket" seems really appropriate.
After reading this whole thread, this was the best.

Miss Blue for the 71 and The Phantom for the 91. Have no idea why on the Phantom. She wanted it ~ and around here she gets what she wants!!
Mine has always been named Yogi after my youngest dog I had...he was a black lab rot mix...so, he was stupid and stubborn but strong and loyal...he passed about 2 years ago but I think of him when I walk by it or go for a ride.
