I've had my vette for about 2 weeks now. Today I was driving and another C3 was coming the opposite way. As the cars approached the guy puts his arm out of the window and waves to me. I waved back and all of a sudden felt that I was in some sort of brotherhood. It was great! It wasn't like having sex for the first time, but it was pretty cool. Now I understand.
Save the wave! |thumb| |wavey|

Vette(s): 1975 Coupe NOM 350: Edelbrock 64cc heads, QJet clone, Performer manifold & cam, gear drive and water pump; MSD ProBillet dist and 6A box, Comp rollers, Hedman headers into true duals, Magnaflow cans,TH400 w/shift kit, TT2's, 3.70RA, hi-rise hood
The other "bonding" experience is the roadside breakdown. When it happens, you'll be staggered by the sheer numbers of people who pull over to see if you need help: other Vette owners, motorheads, state police, etc. I'm serious about the troopers; when my 75 had a cooling system calamity on the Mass Tpke, I was surrounded by their cruisers, even though I was safely(?) in the breakdown lane, out of the traffic flow. They even called AAA for the ramp truck, telling me that an official call would go to the head of the line. It wasn't my good looks |laugh| so it had to be the car!
