Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Just picked up my car after the transmission was rebuilt. Although I have had the car for 5 years the first 4 years I traveled 70% of the time so I did not get a chance to drive it or have work done. I always new the transmission was sloppy. It finally quit on me as I posted a little while ago.
Now even with the 200HP 82 I eliminated some older outside tire rubber. Leaving in on the street. It shift great pull really nice. Had a great but short drive. I may take it into the mountains this weekend if I get a chance. Still some things to do before paint but there is nothing like running down the road again. New suspension & front end. Handles really nice.
Just had to share the JOY.
God Bless you all and enjoy the get together. That is a great location.

Hey Gil, that's my song (Willie Nelson). Very appropriate isn't it. Glad to hear you're "on the road again" bro.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to having a similar feeling soon. Glad to hear you get to drive it again and that it has a renewed feeling of power
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
