That's a really nice Vette. If you want one with out numbers matching that has real get up & go check out this one,
He is a member here (Stingray406SB), Mike's car is on this months calander. Has lots of new running gear for a lot less money.

That red one is nice, I really don't know if that's a good price or not? Being a chrome bumper car, matching numbers, it will appriciate in value for sure. Make him an offer of 18K if you like it and see what happens. We have guys on here in that area that will check it for you, just ask.

Good luck,
Dave

If I am reading the ad correctly is says the previous owner spent $2500 on paint. If that is material and labor it is far to cheap for a Vette paint job. I would be very skeptical about that. Other than that, the price seems reasonable too me. It is a beautiful car now. I just wonder how long the paint will hold up.

Very nice looking car Clint. I like the way Scott is thinking here and agree however I have a feeling I that you will insult him at $18K.

My guess he is looking more in the $20 - 23K range. I am just guessing because he is pretty proud of the documentation and is describing it as a trophy car.

If it were a BB I would agree with him but since it is a SB $18 - $20 range would be in line for me.

Anyone in the Nashville area that could go look at it next weekend ? Too much snow this weekend. Rick and car are about 30 minutes north on i24. I would be willing to pay for the gas and an assessment fee.

Just Pm me or respond here

Thx

Tux -

agreed with all observations on the paint. He has been lowballed at 10 & 15 and feels like those were insulting offers (they are !). He is looking for 20 even which I think is a fair price. He sent me a large number of detail pictures as well. Everything appears as described, solid birdcage & solid pillars. Thx for the response.

I think $20,000 is a fair price for that car, especially if it's in excellent mechanical condition.  Any chrome shark is going to increase pretty fast because there just are not that many left/made.  Chevy only made front & rear bumper chromies from 68 to 72.  JMHO.  I wish you all the best in your search!  Plus.....lookin' forward to meeting you in HS!Big%20smile

Looks like a very nice car, Clint.  I think I would have someone go check it out in person, tho.   Guess it comes down to how bad you want it and how much you are willing to pay.   You may be able to talk him down some, he does say OBO.   Good luck!
