Vette(s): 1970 stingray, t-top, mulsanne blue with black interior, 406 ci with 444 hp, racing suspension, hooker headers/sidepipes - SOLD :(
hey so uh...I want to become CorvetteRacer1970 I think. I dunno, there's something about fiber optics, the beautiful flaring of the ass, the way it's tailored to the exhaust, those egg crates, and best yet...those sexy chrome bumpers that every corvette has had in some form or another since June 30th, 1953 that makes me happy. oh yes, and that shiny Stingray emblem on the side.
So my dilemma is...that I pretty much need to sell the 77 before I go trying to get a 70, else I'll be making payments on a second huge loan. no one I know wants the 77, so it's hard to sell, but that's not what this is about. I'll offer my 77 to all you folks just as soon as I confirm that this car is indeed worthy of my cash.
Now, it's in Mississipi, so I cannot go see it myself, being at least 20 hours away. However it is the only one on usedcorvettesforsale.com that I find I like. Blue with a black interior, t top, automatic tranny, and a luggage rack. Love the look the luggage rack adds to a vette. I need something with a black interior and an automatic tranny...luggage rack I can always get ahold of later somehow I guess, though I'd prefer it already be on there so I don't have to drill holes in my baby's back end. anyhow the guy only has three pictures. front, back, and engine. I asked em for pictures of the sides and interior, but the thing that's making me real nervous is that he's selling for a bit less than what most 70s go for.

Man, that's a nice car but if you can't be there to see it why not use the certified inspection available at the bottom of his ad. You would'nt be sorry later!

yeah if i end up deciding to pursue, I will indeed use the inspection service. the thing is, it will be a struggle to purchase the car, and the inspect is 350 dollars...so there's going to be some difficulty involved. I don't want to put my car up for sale until I know his is worth it, because what if mine sells and his is not worth it...and then I'm stuck without a corvette. oy.
