Is there a good resource for identifying Option Codes.
I have the Tank Sticker (Corvette Order Copy) from my 72. Unfortunately, the years have degraded the paper. I can only clearly make out the option codes and some of the Descriptions.
Example - 2VGV4AA Axle Rear Axle ....... 3 ..... Ratio
I would like to Decode all of the Options in order to properly document the car.

I'd suggest posting what info you have here. There are several people who have all of that info and would be more than happy to share.

GV4 = 3.36 axle ratio...
next?
Make a GOOD clean copy of the sticker first...there are software programs that can bring out printing that may be hard to read/see...Adams' Apple 2007-04-01 19:07:39

I think I have everything decoded except for the following.
2VF62HS - ?? FRONT SPRINGS
2VG22EA - ?? REAR SPRINGS
Not sure if there was a spring option available. I haven't been able to locate an RPO for springs.
There is also reference to F. HUB and R. HUB (no option # listed) - not sure what significance if any this has.
Thanks for the feedback Joel. Unfortunately, the Adhesive used to stick the Order Copy to the tank has really made some of the text impossible to read. Not sure I can get a really clear copy as a result.

I believe the only suspension option in '72 was the F41, which was only available with the ZR1 package.(LT1)
The spring codes you see are probably related to other optional equipment, such as A/C, stereo, etc. The spring rates were different for cars with A/C, as the A/C added weight to the car. The codes probably reflect what the assembly line used to build the car with those options. A "base" car wouldn't have spring codes on the build sheet, I don't think.
But...then again, the reference to the front/rear hubs is interesting...the ZR1 cars had heavy duty brakes(J56), which would require a different hub/spindle. Is this an LT1 car? You may have a ZR1, and didn't know it! There were 40 of them built...ain't this FUN?!
