Well, when you add a few bonus points for driving to the event anyway !!

Just got back from the NCRS Regional in Bend OR. and there are still some miracles out there if you work hard enough !!
After two days of judging, my car earned a raw score of 92.2% based on Operations, Interior, Exterior, Mechanical and Chassis. Add in 3% for driving it 300+ miles to event and I got in just over the 94% minimum required for Top Flight, I'm still in shock !!

With that task behind me, now it's time to make the final arrangements for the 2016 C3VR Gathering. I am looking forward to meeting all who are attending !! See you in July !!

Congratulation great accompishment! Are you going to take it to the next level and bring it to the Nationals? My NCRS chapter is hosting the 2016 National Convention in Warwick R.I. Unfortunately the dates for the National and C3VR gathering overlap. If they didn't overlap I would definitely be at the C3VR gathering. Last year was my first gathering had a great time and met so many awesome people.
Thank you all for the congrats !! A National NCRS event may be in my future but I'm sorry it's not going to be Rhode Island. 300 miles to Bend was stressful enough. My wife drove the car both ways by herself while I drove our motorhome towing our jeep. She really had never driven it before and she did a great job getting it down and back with no issues. Her only complaints were no cup holder and no RH mirror. The next closest National will be Vegas in 2018, hopefully by then I can scare up an enclosed trailer for that trip. RW, hope the National goes well for you and your Chapter. I can only imagine how much work goes into an event like that.

Hey John,
Haven't been on this site for a good while. Just thought I'd again offer my congratulations to you as well. This is quite an accomplishment for both YOU and your CAR. No one knows how stressful that day is unless you go through it,😊😊😊

Thanks Jim, yeah it's pretty stressful but I think most of the pressure is something we put on ourselves before the actual event. I'm sure being newbies to the whole process doesn't help and of course we want our cars to be perfect the first time. Hopefully it gets a little easier the second or third time around.. Good luck with your car and keep us posted on how your judging goes.
