Supose to be 85 degrees here today( may break record for high). Took ol'girl out for a spin yesterday and got a way back from a C5. It all depends on who's behind the wheel? Passion, or no passion? That is the question!

Yup - my first returned wave was from a C5.

All the snow is gone in Toronto, now just have to wait a month till the eight inches of salt disappears.
All Vettes wave at me. Just wondering is it still a wave when I only see one finger.
Congrats on the new grand daughter Ray.

Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks.
#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
Well, it really sucks when you don't get a wave back! I get a lot of waves when I'm in the C5, but not many in the C3 (maybe it's the gold color).

But, I'll tell ya' what I do get................finally got my car runnin' took her out and got followed by a motorcycle cop all the way to my destination. He didn't wave at me either! Darn!

I have to admit there have been some times when a Corvette passed me going the other way, waved, and then I noticed him. Too late to wave back. He probably thought I was an A-hole, but I just didn't see him in time.
There have been other times when I have waved at mid-80 Firebirds, thinking it was a C4, and they probably wondered who that was waving at them.

Hey , don't feel sorry for us up here! It was 73 in Bismarck on Monday, the roads were clear and dry, and I took the vette out for a spin. I saw a '76, waved, and they waved back.
Yeah, usually the older cars wave and the newer cars don't, unless they've been corvette people for awhile.
I wave, and if they don't wave back it doesn't matter. I was just waving at the car anyway, not the people!
That reminds me. I was in Fargo last month and it was about 4 degrees and there was over a foot of snow on the ground, and I saw a guy driving a '74 around. He had about 6 inches if snow on the rear deck, but he was out driving it anyway. More power to him!

Man I am also jealous. The temp. hit 70 here in Mich. and my car is spread all over the shop. All I could think about was cruisn and wavin. It may be summer before I have her done.

Ditto, Terry! We're FINALLY into the 70s here and my baby is sans radiator.
The good news -- I should have a new one by Saturday.
Then with a little luck, it will be on the road by March 23d. That is my oldest son's B-day and he wants to drive Penny to work (he's an Air Guard flight engineer who works with a bunch of pilots, none of whom drive a classic like this). I'd love to let him do it! Hope she's back on the road by then. Happy motoring!
