hi all just trying to research the history of my 68.its vin#194378s418860 its a silver coupe 327 4 speed gunmetal grey leather interior.just wondering if this car is familiar to anyone.thanks

I traced the history of my '74 back to the original owner thru a title search. The DMV will do it, for a price, but not all states will allow it. Check with your local/state DVM, and see if a title search is available.

know any hackers? I was lucky enough to have a book provided with my vette which has a copy of all prevoius owners regirstation, and one of them did some researching so it has a few letters, thier names, phone numbers, when they bought and sold the car, nothing I would call DOCUMENTATION, just good info. Is your vette a local ride? any paperwork in glove box? DMV, DOL, if it has been serived or repaired or painted maybe a shop has owner info. good luck. keep us in the loop.

Mine came the same as Larry's. I got a book full of reciepts from previous owners, the first owners name, address, and phone #. I'd also check Corvette clubs in your area to see if anyone knows of your car, good luck.

The DMV does not allow it here in LA; however, the gal from DMV said to check with our insurance company, State Farm or local law enforcement, We went through State Farm and were lucky enough to get the info.
